“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
– Matthew 11:28
Reflection
There are seasons when everything feels like a lot.
Sometimes it’s obvious. Other times it’s just the quiet weight of everyday life - responsibilities, decisions, expectations, the things no one else sees.
I love that Jesus doesn’t say, “Fix it first.” He doesn’t say, “Be stronger.” He simply says, come to Me.
Not when you’ve figured it out. Not when you’re less tired. Just come.
This verse feels like an open invitation for anyone carrying more than they were meant to carry alone. His promise is simple and steady - He gives rest.
Prayer
Lord, I’m bringing You the parts of my heart that feel tired. The things I’ve been carrying quietly. Thank You for inviting me to come as I am. Help me lay it down with You and receive the rest You promise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
