“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
– Isaiah 66:13
Reflection
There are moments when comfort is the only thing your heart is reaching for.
Not answers.
Not explanations.
Just something steady and gentle to hold onto.
I love that God chose this image - not distant or formal, but close and personal.
“As a mother comforts her child…”
It’s instinctive. Immediate. Steady.
Not rushed. Not conditional. Just there.
This is how He meets you.
Not when everything is figured out.
Not when you’ve found the right words.
Right here - in the middle of it.
Whether you’re grieving, overwhelmed, or just worn down, His comfort isn’t something you have to chase.
It’s something He offers.
And you’re allowed to receive it.
Prayer
Lord, I come to You needing comfort.
You see what I’m carrying, even the parts I haven’t said out loud.
Thank You for meeting me with gentleness instead of pressure.
Help me rest in Your presence and feel Your closeness today.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
